Now comes the task of building up plaster. This isn't plaster of Paris, that's far too soft. This is hard dental plaster called Kaffir D, which is used to make teeth castings. Some mould-makers flick the plaster onto the sculpture, but I prefered to use a soft brush, gently working the plaster into all the details, being very careful not to trap any air bubbles.
